“Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.” These words echo like a gentle reminder of the hope we find in Him. The repetition of the lyrics is a chance to focus on our minds on who Christ is as our master, Savior, comforter, and friend.

What an incredible way to describe what Jesus means to us by describing what it’s like to smell the earth after a thunderstorm. The rain washes everything away, leaving everything clean, clear, and new. With Jesus in our lives, we feel the same way. He takes our burdens, our shame, and our struggles and washes it away while helping us see life from His perspective as He continues to write our stories. No matter what we are facing, we can go on knowing He isn’t finished with us yet.

When we proclaim, ‘Let all of heaven and earth proclaim,’ we are joining the heavens and all of the earth as we rejoice in the mighty name of Christ. Kingdoms may rise and fall, but Jesus will forever remain. Struggles and circumstances will come, but Jesus will remain the same.
