Achieving anything in life requires hard work and sacrifice. No one goes to sleep one night, wakes up the next day, and automatically becomes a doctor, lawyer, engineer or professional athlete. Those positions and titles aren’t handed out just because someone hopes or wishes them to become a reality. Getting there involves a lot of work, determination, persistence and perseverance.

Of course, this is a reality that most adults already know and understand. However, this is a fact of life that all youngsters must learn. The sooner children learn how hard work is required to achieve anything of value and meaning in life, the better. A clip posted on social media shows two young men enjoying the fruits of their labor, which ended in a sweet and heartwarming surprise.

The video's opening moments make it clear that the children have been saving for two years to buy a Nintendo Switch. The day has finally arrived, and they have saved enough money to purchase the game system.

Seconds later, the two tiny gentlemen are standing at a Target checkout counter with the game system as they count their money. The surface is soon covered in dollar bills and coins as the children wait until the Nintendo Switch is officially theirs.

Next, one of the boys grabs the bag with the system off the counter. The system is officially their possession. But then something happens that catches the children and their parents entirely off guard.

A man stops the children and asks them, “What kind of games you going to play on it?” Seconds later, the stranger informs the children that “Hard work pays off, man. Keep doing it” as he hands them a $50 gift card to buy their first game for their newly acquired system.

The look on the young man’s face is one of surprise and amazement. What a beautiful moment!
