"There is no proof of God anywhere in the universe," the main character of the new CBS drama God Friended Me says in the show's trailer. That philosophy is challenged though when a unique series of events shows him that there might be a bigger plan in store for him.

The trailer sets up the conflict quickly, establishing the main character Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall) as an atheist. Miles discusses his lack of faith on a radio show, much to the chagrin of his father (Scandal's Joe Morton), a minister. Miles' life changes when he receives a Facebook friend request from God, which leads him to wonder who really sent him that notice. His journey leads him to Cara (Violett Beane), a woman who thinks there might be a grand design to it all.

The trailer offers a lot of interesting conflicts and it could be worth checking out. Check it below and let us know what you think.

The show premieres on CBS on September 30th.
