Your Daily Prayer

Today, may we ask our great God for his help. May we humbly request the help of his people. May we petition the Holy Spirit to fill us with a clear and fortified mind and will. And then open our hearts to receive.

Christlike welcome of others is what Scripture calls us to do, not because we must as a checklist obligation, but because doing so reflects the heart of our Savior who lovingly bids us to come to Him despite our brokenness and sin.

Conviction, repentance, and discipline are all great gifts from our Father in heaven. He wants us to be honest with Him so that we can see real transformation happen in our lives, as He conforms us into the image of His Son.

We are so similar to the Twelve Disciples. When a storm comes upon us, we instantly doubt the Lord. Rather than doubting Jesus, we must trust Him. Just as He calms the roaring waters, He can also calm the storms of our lives.

The next time you're shining a light on something that you feel is imperfect about you, allow what you think is imperfect to instead be exactly what's needed in your layer or section of the masterpiece of God.

We have the Lord who calls us by name and declares we are His. We can regularly turn to that truth to remember our identity and find courage to walk by faith the road He has marked for us.

Mercy is at the heart of the gospel, and as Christ followers, we should rejoice any time we are given opportunities to extend mercy and kindness to those who have sinned against us.

Choosing to be grateful to God can turn your confusion into trust. As you thank God for what he didn’t give you in the past, it becomes easier to trust him with what you’re praying for right now.

Imagine the beauty of this season if we embraced showing up without asking, speaking to effort and not just results, giving permission to not be okay, and praying for moms. Let’s be people who see the graciousness and compassion of our God and long to pour it out on others.

In troubling times, we can draw near to God and find comfort in His arms. Our heavenly Father is compassionate and understands sorrow, grief, anguish, and even regret when it comes to loving and caring deeply.

May we make an effort to remember the historical basis of our faith by reading the Bible––including the books that we might deem as less interesting or important––and apply what they teach in our lives.

As our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of its birth, let us, as believers, put our denominational differences aside for a day, so that we may join together to pray for our country.

You might not be able to take away the hard things a mom in your life is walking through, but you can be the person who helps her find the joy that God is sowing in the middle of it through this prayer.

God is an expert at taking your messy, fatigued decisions and weaving them into his good plans. God is your Savior – not just from your sins, but from the stressful burden of having to be your own guide.

We may admire certain teachers and influencers online and even find many of their insights and suggested practices helpful. However, if we rely only on the second-hand nourishment of the faith of others, then our growth will wither.
