STEFFAN TUBBS is host of "The Steffan Tubbs Show" on News/Talk 710 KNUS in Denver, heard Monday-Friday 4-7pm MT. Steffan has more than 30 years of news experience and is a four-time winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award for national reporting, multiple Colorado Broadcasters Association award-winner and has twice been named best radio personality in Denver (5280 Magazine & Westword.)  In addition to his radio experience, Steffan spent more than six years as a national correspondent with ABC News based in Los Angeles, and two years as a reporter/anchor for Fox5/WNYW-TV in New York City.  He returned to Denver in 2005 and spent the next 12 years hosting "Colorado's Morning News" on KOA NewsRadio. Steffan also hosted Studio 12 on Colorado Public Television for eight years.  His coverage has included the Oklahoma City bombing and subsequent trials, Columbine, 9/11 recovery from Ground Zero, Jerusalem, Papal coverage with Pope John Paul II in Mexico City, the Virginia Tech and Aurora Theater shootings and every type of natural disaster – fires & hurricanes, floods & earthquakes, drought & tornadoes. Sports coverage has included multiple Super Bowls, World Series’, NBA & Stanley Cup Finals and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Steffan has funneled his passion for real, honest storytelling into his documentary film company, Mountain Time Media and produces Documentary Films That Matter.™ His first 3 films, Life, Liberty & Resilience, Droughtland, and ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD, all have been critically acclaimed and created amazing engagement opportunities within Colorado and across the country. His fourth film, 25 Steps - about the chance meeting of two WWII POWs 70+ years later has been another critically acclaimed success.

His first film of the same title was released in 2013. In 2014, Steffan’s second film Droughtland was released to much success. ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD has garnered overwhelming support in Colorado and nationally, including a private screening on Capitol Hill for the House Veteran Affairs Committee. Steffan has been a frequent contributor to the Fox News Channel, ABC News and has anchored multiple live events (including Election Night 2016 & 2017's Presidential Inauguration from Washington for NBC NewsRadio.    He is a proud supporter of our military and was twice embedded with U.S. troops in Iraq (2006 & 2010.) In both 2010 and 2012, he assisted WWII veterans back to the island of Iwo Jima. He ends his show daily by reminding us to Remember Our Troops.   Steffan has his Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a Master of Arts, Humanities/History from California State University Dominguez Hills.   He is a proud dad of two teen boys, loves to travel and lives in Highlands Ranch. His heartache can be linked to his lifelong love for the San Diego Padres and San Diego* Chargers.
