Forecasters are warning of potentially deadly flash flooding and strong tornadoes in coming days from a new round of storms. Waves of thunderstorms are poised to strike parts of the Midwest and South later this week. National Weather Service forecasters say the potent system raises the risk of life-threatening flash flooding in parts of the U.S. starting Wednesday. The storms bearing heavy rains are expected in parts of Texas, the lower Mississippi Valley and the Ohio Valley. The new round of storms comes as residents in northern Michigan continue digging out from a weekend ice storm.
