Two major statements were made by Pope Leo the XIV in his first week in office as the 267th Pope of Rome: “Family is founded upon the stable union between a man and a woman”, and the second statement addressed to the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See on Friday this past week in which the Pope reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to serve all humanity, describing the diplomatic community as a family “that shares the joys and sorrows of life” and is grounded in human and spiritual values. Also, the Pope noted in a particular way the commitment of the church in all the nations to serve the poor and the marginalized a legacy known to be of the late pope Francis. The Pope also spoke namely about a particular attention which will be given by the church to the protection of creation and the rise of the artificial intelligence which seems to be on the top agenda issues that Pope Leo the XIV will address in the world. The speakers covered various religious and diplomatic topics, focusing on recent statements by Pope Leo the XIV and the historical context of the Vatican's role in international relations.
