Children's Hospital of Colorado reports a 185% increase in traumatic E-Bike injuries to kids from 20204 to 2025 and they have already passed that total number of injuries this year.  Jeff, Bill, and callers discuss kids and E-Bikes.  To decrease the number of severe injuries, what should we do?  

Initiative 195 would change Colorado from a flat tax to a graduated tax structure.  This means higher income earners would pay a larger % of their income in taxes.  State Senator Barb Kirkmyer says not so fast, there is a lot of wiggle room in this initiative that can lead to much of Colorado paying higher taxes.  She joins Jeff and Bill to walk you through how your tax bill can increase even if you are in the bottom 50% of earners in Colorado and how the excess revenue will be a slush fund for those in charge.

Over a dozen Colorado school districts will be asking voters for more money this fall.  Mill Leavy overrides for teacher salaries, plus career/technical programs.  Jeff, Bill, and callers debate if your public school needs more money, what they have done with the current tax dollars, and if achievement level matches investment.  

Monday, a man with a knife approached Denver Mayor Mike Johnston at Union Station.  Security drew their guns.  It was over in a matter of seconds, the knife was plastic and no arrest was made.  Jeff, Bill, and callers debate if Downtown Denver is safe?  Do you feel safe going downtown?  What about a Posse?  Should we bring back the Guadian Angels?

Sunday afternoon hundreds of teens gathered at an Aurora shopping center.  Things got out of hand with the kids disrupting local businesses.  There was vandalism and shoplifting that necessitated 70 Auror Officers respond to the chaos.  Former Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky joins Jeff and Bill to react to the gathering and more.  

Colorado Governor Polis announces a contest for a 7th or 8th grade student to be Governor for a Day.  Jeff and Bill start discussing George Santos being banned from Kalshi, the prediction market.  Then it's a conversation about a contest to be Governor for a day.  What video would you submit to win?

Greg Lopez and Taralyn Romero are running as independents for Governor and Lieutenant governor respectively.  They join Jeff and Bill to talk about what they are hearing from voters while on the campaign trail.  What do voters want?  Unaffiliateds are the largest voting bloc in the state.  Is their ticket a way to reclaim Colorado's independent spirit or are they playing spoiler? 

Jeff and Bill continue the conversation about a state Democrat, Christian Schilder who got so dunk in Texas that law enforcement had to hog time him in the back of a police car.  The boys also discuss the Sec. of State' Jenna Griswold' accidentally revealing personal information of 133K confidential voters in Colorado.  Between Schilder and Griswold, are Democrats running their best and brightest of do they feel they are entitled to be in charge and can run any train wreck of a person for office?

Then it's a conversation about a Colorado Democrat running for state office that was arrested in Texas for public intoxication.  He was hogtied in the back of a patrol car after getting out of control, and yes there is video goodness  

Colorado share of the Meta settlement is $615M over nine years.  Where does the money go and why does the Attorney General control it?  State Senator Barb Kirkmeyer sits on the joint budget committee and joins Jeff and Bill to explain why the AG's office gets the money and questions she has about what they are going to do with it.     

Earlier this week a pair of Teller County Deputies were shot and wounded during a traffic stop.  Sheriff Mikesell joins Jeff and Bill to outline what happened and how his department tracked the suspect and deputies faced an ambush when closing in on him.  Then former Denver Police Officer, Mark Corwley shares stories of his training and the chaos that happens in these stressful situations.  

Republican gubernatorial candidate Victor Marex skipped last night's debate hosted by KOAA and Colorado Politics at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts.  Democrat Phil Weiser and Independent candidate Greg Lopez were there.  Victor Marx joins Jeff and Bill to explain why he skipped the even and responds to claims by a KUSA that he is using a merch store to funnel illegal $$ into the campaign.  

Jeff, Bill, and callers discuss Trump renaming Lake Ontario.  Is this a strong negotiation tactic?  Is he trolling Canada?  Or acting like a child.  As usual, Jeff and Bill come to very different conclusions.  

Meta has settled a lawsuit that claimed they manipulated the algorithm to hook kids on social media.   Colorado is getting $615M from the $17B Meta settlement, wand A.G. Phil Weiser spikes the football.  But where does the money go?  Jeff, Bill, and texts talk about the dangers of kids on social media and questions about what happens to the money if the A.G.'s office is in charge.  

Jeff and Bill spend the hour with Jason Green, Founder of Raeden.  In Colorado Springs Raeden is developing the Project Taurus Data Center.  He takes all your questions.  Noise, Water, and more are all on the table.  Green lets you know how much water the center will use, the decibel levels, and more.  Did you know the center has signed a contract with Colorado Springs with a $1M bond they forfeit if they violate the noise commitment? 

Jeff and Bill welcome George Markert, former Marine Colonel and Victor Marx running mate (he is the Lt. Governor nominee).  The Victor Marx campaign did an interview with Lara Trump that airs this Saturday on Fox News at 7pm.  Markert and Marx and former Marines and he explains how that influences their plans and decision making for Colorado.  Market also highlights the Marx campaign will drop an internet dashboard allowing you to dive into how your tax dollars are spent. 

Jeff and Bill start the hour talking about Denver Water Restricting lawn watering this fall.  Then it's a conversation about parents suing Colorado Children's Hospital over gender affirming care for their kids.  The Doctors will be able to hide their identities while testifying.  Why?  What are they hiding?
