Mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy trial!?!?!  As Jeff and Bill are talking with 23rd Judicial District Attorney George Brauchler, the judge in the trial says the jury is deadlocked.  Brauchler outlines concerns for each side and what is it like for the prosecution to consider a second trial.

Douglas County is considering expanding the number of County Commissioners from 3 to 5.  Jake Bockenfeld is running as a Republican to be a Doug Co Commissioner.  Jeff and Bill ask if he is in favor of expanding the number of commissioners.   Bockenfeld also addresses concerns on data centers, taxes, housing, education and more

DJ Summers, Director of Communications & Research Operations, Common Sense Institute joins Jeff and Bill to discuss the cost of Medicaid in Colorado.  Since 2023, enrollment fell 30% but costs rose 15%.  Fewer people but higher costs??  

Admiral Brian Christine, Assistant Secretary for Health of the United States Department of Health and Human Services starts the hour with Jeff and Bill discussing the report Wolves in White Coats.  The report alleges fraud and manipulation in the gender care of children.  Then it's a debate over a new survey showing Colorado Latino voters changing their mind.  Forty-six percent of respondents this year said the state was moving in the wrong direction, 40% said the opposite.  That's a 26-point swing from last year.  Does this create an opportunity for Republicans this fall in the Centennial state?  

Yukon Jack is scheduled to play the Grizzly Rose tonight.  Is it actually a Garth Brooks secret show?  Brooks is in town for a series of shows starting Friday and he has performed under the Yukon Jack moniker before to play a small venue in the early 90's.  Brooks has side he would love to play the Grizzly Rose again, so is it going to happen?  Jeff, Bill, callers, and texts speculate and share stories of seeing bands before they became big.  

Children's Hospital of Colorado reports a 185% increase in traumatic E-Bike injuries to kids from 20204 to 2025 and they have already passed that total number of injuries this year.  Jeff, Bill, and callers discuss kids and E-Bikes.  To decrease the number of severe injuries, what should we do?  

Initiative 195 would change Colorado from a flat tax to a graduated tax structure.  This means higher income earners would pay a larger % of their income in taxes.  State Senator Barb Kirkmyer says not so fast, there is a lot of wiggle room in this initiative that can lead to much of Colorado paying higher taxes.  She joins Jeff and Bill to walk you through how your tax bill can increase even if you are in the bottom 50% of earners in Colorado and how the excess revenue will be a slush fund for those in charge.

Over a dozen Colorado school districts will be asking voters for more money this fall.  Mill Leavy overrides for teacher salaries, plus career/technical programs.  Jeff, Bill, and callers debate if your public school needs more money, what they have done with the current tax dollars, and if achievement level matches investment.  

Monday, a man with a knife approached Denver Mayor Mike Johnston at Union Station.  Security drew their guns.  It was over in a matter of seconds, the knife was plastic and no arrest was made.  Jeff, Bill, and callers debate if Downtown Denver is safe?  Do you feel safe going downtown?  What about a Posse?  Should we bring back the Guadian Angels?

Sunday afternoon hundreds of teens gathered at an Aurora shopping center.  Things got out of hand with the kids disrupting local businesses.  There was vandalism and shoplifting that necessitated 70 Auror Officers respond to the chaos.  Former Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky joins Jeff and Bill to react to the gathering and more.  

Colorado Governor Polis announces a contest for a 7th or 8th grade student to be Governor for a Day.  Jeff and Bill start discussing George Santos being banned from Kalshi, the prediction market.  Then it's a conversation about a contest to be Governor for a day.  What video would you submit to win?  

Last House, Greg Lopez and Taralyn Romero, the Independent ticket for Governor in Colorado.  Jeff, Bill and callers continue the discussion about if an independent ticket can win, are we fixed into a 2-party system, and more  

Greg Lopez and Taralyn Romero are running as independents for Governor and Lieutenant governor respectively.  They join Jeff and Bill to talk about what they are hearing from voters while on the campaign trail.  What do voters want?  Unaffiliateds are the largest voting bloc in the state.  Is their ticket a way to reclaim Colorado's independent spirit or are they playing spoiler? 

Jeff and Bill continue the conversation about a state Democrat, Christian Schilder who got so dunk in Texas that law enforcement had to hog time him in the back of a police car.  The boys also discuss the Sec. of State' Jenna Griswold' accidentally revealing personal information of 133K confidential voters in Colorado.  Between Schilder and Griswold, are Democrats running their best and brightest of do they feel they are entitled to be in charge and can run any train wreck of a person for office?
